The Deveron Press was founded in Turriff, Aberdeenshire in 1916 by James Leatham, and only his death in December 1945 could put a stop to this unique and original publishing enterprise. In 2015 The Deveron Press was re-established to commemorate the 70th anniversary of his death and the 150th anniversary of his birth (in December 1865), Relaunched on 19th December 2015 at The Municipal Buildings, Turriff, in the very room Leatham served as Provost from 1933 until his death. The Deveron Press centenary year followed hard upon, with 2016 marking 100 years since the original publishing venture was established,
